A Continuous Journey with St. Joseph
In our previous Fall 2023 newsletter we mentioned that Charlie Bulger had an amazing journey with our good St Joseph. As you recall Charlie was a Jesuit novice and had been doing service projects at Holy Family Residence with the Little Sisters and the Residents.
A year has passed and both Sister Joseph Marie and Sister Mary Alphonsus had the wonderful privilege of witnessing Charlie Bulger along with three other Jesuit novices make their First Profession of the vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience on August 10, 2024. The newly vowed Jesuits will devote themselves for 3 years to full-time study, typically of philosophy, theology, and other applicable subjects while engaging in apostolic work that strengthens and challenges their commitment. Following this period, they will have different stages of on-going formation, until please God they will be ordained to the priest hood. We wish Charlie and the other Jesuits our best as they strive to give themselves totally to God and His Will.
